History of Ralph J. Pollard Lodge #217, Orrington, Maine

RALPH J. POLLARD

Named after Maine's only Honorary Past Grand Master, Ralph J. Pollard was a leading light in Maine Freemasonry for many decades. His dedication to education and information sharing has been rarely matched in Masonic history either within or without this jurisdiction. He was known throughout the United States for his exceptionally detailed reports on behalf of Maine's Committee on Fraternal Correspondence.

Bro. Pollard received many honors from his Brother Masons including being one of the earliest recipients of the Masonic Brotherhood of the Blue Forget-Me-Not Award for Masonic educators. This award along with certificates for others now adorns the Masonic Hall named in his honor during his lifetime.
