This second history of Ralph J. Pollard Lodge shows the results of the seeds that were sown during the first decade of the Lodge. During our first ten years we had Masters who were charter members and were raised in other lodges. Their hard work and masonic teachings produced the officers to hold up the high standard of masonic education for the second decade.
Our first officers were not only speculative, but operative masons as well. They commenced the building of our temple and through the last ten years the work is still being carried on. The temple is nearly completed and aside from repairs and maintenance, we will have completed out {should be 'our'} operative phase.
This second history of Ralph J. Pollard Lodge shows the important meetings that we have had in our second decade as a Lodge, as taken from the minutes; but there is more to a history than what is recorded in the book.
In our second decade we have outgrown the infant lodge stage and all the masters of these last ten years were raised in Ralph J. Pollard Lodge. Three of then wore raised during the tenn year period.
Although we have had rough going in spots and many differences of opinion, the lodge has weathered the storm and is well established. It has come a long way since first moving into our unfinished hall eleven years ago.
Our hall is paid for and the mortgage has boon burned Thanks to the legacy which was received from Brother Eugene Unsworth Phillips.
We want to pay tribute to those masons who wore not members of our lodge who were always willing to help in any way they could.
