Rev. AUBREY LEMONT BURBANK
Most Worshipful Brother Burbank was born in Palmyra, Maine, July 8, 1913, son of Stephen L. and Ethel (Getchell) Burbank. Educated in the public schools of Hartland, Me., graduating from Hartland Academy in 1930, and from Morey's Decorative Advertising School in Boston in 1931.
For several years he operated a Gasoline Station and was Manager of Pineland Oil Company at Waterville. From 1942 to 1952 he was a Poultry Farmer.
He began his study for the Ministry in 1953, serving churches in Brooks and Jackson until July of 1955, when he was called to the Methodist Churches in Clinton and Benton and the Congregational Church in Vassalboro.
(Previously been Lay Leader of the East Vassalboro Methodist Church for several years). (Continuing study in the Methodist Church, attending Pastor's Summer School at Boston University).
Made a Master Mason in Waterville Lodge, No. 33, on April 29, 1935, and was its Worshipful Master in 1941. His activities in Grand Lodge started with the appointment as District Deputy Grand Master 1944-45, later serving as Grand Steward 1946-47; Grand Junior Deacon 1948; Grand Lecturer 1949-52, and Deputy Grand Master 1954-55.
Exalted in Teconnet Chapter, No. 52, Royal Arch Masons, September 24, 1940, was its High Priest in 1946, and Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter in 1953, and is presently a Grand Chaplain.
Greeted as a Royal and Select Master in Mt. Lebanon Council, No. 13, in 1942, and was its Illustrious Master in 1948. Is presently a Grand Chaplain of the Grand Council.
Knighted in St. Omer Commandery, No. 12, Knights Templar, June 13, 1945, and was its Eminent Commander in 1952-53.
In the Scottish Rite, he received the degrees from the fourth to the eighteenth in the bodies of the Rite in Augusta, and the thirty-second degree in Maine Consistory at Portland on May 23, 1947.
He was Worthy Patron of Martha Washington Chapter, O. E. S. in 1940 and 1944.
He is also a member of DeBouillon Conclave, No. 2, Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine, and Kora Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S.
Unmarried—lives with his father and mother at 80-1/2 Grove Street, Waterville, Maine.
