A picture of two very distinguished Past Grand Masters, taken Aug 18 2007, as they awaited their entrance to the 2007 Maine Highland Games.
MW Bro Walter Macdougall escorted Chief Fergus MacDowall of Garthland onto the field to raise the Chief's standard. MW Bro George Pulkenen piped them onto the field. They were led onto the Field by a military guard - the 74th Highland Regiment of Foot commanded by Bro William Siebert - Arcon Lodge - Dixmont.
MW Bro Macdougall was presented that walking stick at the Clans Banquet the previous evening. Clan MacDougall was the honored Clan for the 2007 Maine Highland Games.
MW Bro Macdougall was several years ago appointed Torsheador ('tore-shayadoor) (the Chief's Battle Commander) by Chief Fergus MacDowall and is formally recognized by the Lord Lyon of Scotland in that heraldic position.
