
St. Andrews Lodge in Bangor celebrated its 150th anniversary, 12 May 2006St. Andrews Lodge in Bangor celebrated its 150th anniversary on Friday, 12 May 2006 with presentations of membership awards and recognition of its deserving members. The Grand Master spoke on the beauty of Masonry in that it is defined by the men who are Masons and not by Lodge buildings. St. Andrews Lodge was housed in the Masonic Temple which burned in January 2004. The Lodge received a certificate of honor by the Mayor of the City of Bangor which was presented by City Councilor and Eastern Star member Susan Hawes. M.W. Walter M. Macdougall, PGM, was the key note speaker. He spoke on the many similarities of Masonry and our society in 1856 and 2006.
